Checking In

I haven't posted anything in a week because we've been busy with the day-to-day stuff of life with nothing particularly new to share. Yesterday we began a focused effort on potty training, so that will most likely consume every available minute this week. Seth is still showing no sign of understanding the mind/body connection of control, so I'll just continue to do a laundry load of miniature tighty whities every day until he starts to get the picture. Maybe some general learning activities related to cause and effect would help - he's alway been a little fuzzy on the idea of time, waiting, consequences, etc. It seems like at almost three he should understand sticker charts or M&M rewards or something that would help in this process, but not so much. Perhaps we'll work on that as well... so for the time being just appreciate the fact that you are not trying to potty train a little boy decidedly uninterested in being potty trained, and send up a prayer for me!
