Camping with babysitters...er, family

This camping trip was far superior to the last one in how much we enjoyed the experience, i.e. the inverse of the amount of time spent trapped at the site with a sleeping baby or cooped up in a dirty bathroom stall with a child who suddenly doesn't want to go anymore. On the flip side, we did go home a day early after two nights of Benjamin waking up and screaming every couple hours (it wasn't hard to figure out why the people around us kept packing up first thing in the morning) and when Seth began throwing up from the flu. But during the daylight hours we had a very enjoyable time with Grampa Roger, Gramma Jo, Uncle Eric and Aunt Rachel. More accurately, it was because of Grampa Roger, Gramma Jo, Uncle Eric and Aunt Rachel. So everyone had a good time and we got some camping in for 2009. Revel in the small victories and be gracious in defeat - I think that's what having small children is all about.
